It is my pleasure to recommend someone like Pukar Joshi, who is a civil engineer with expertise in Earthquake Engineering. Er. Joshi was my student during his maters in earthquake engineering (IoE, Tribhuvan University, Nepal). Since then I am in constant touch with him. He was one of the finest students I have seen. He is very quick in understanding and making decisions. He tries to understand the matter from the basics so that he could apply and relate that in real practice. He was the Gold medalist, the topper of his batch in masters. He is sound not only in study but also in carrying out research work. He does have analytical skills and uses different commercial software used in earthquake and civil engineering profession. In addition to this, he was the monitor (Class Representative) of his batch. This shows his leadership qualities. Currently, he is the head of the department of Civil Engineering in a private engineering college affiliated with the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Mr. Joshi is a smart and intelligent person. He really knows how to handle the situation and negotiate and create a positive vibe in the atmosphere he works. He is one of the students who I still keep in touch with and discuss in academic and research activities. I wish him all the best in his both academic and professional career ahead.
